 Not done. You have little to no recent experience fighting real vandalism here on Wikipedia. If you want the rollback tool, show us that you need it! Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so vandalism reverts, either with the undo function, or the userscript, Twinkle. While I may qualify as "new" (having been actively editing for just under a month), I believe I have shown my worth in editing and maintaining (including copyedits, rvv, AfDs, cleanup, general improvment) articles within the scope of WP:VG, most precisely WP:NIN, and even more precisely in Book:Mario_titles. All of these articles (as well as some others I have contributed to) are on my watchlist. While vandalism happens at a steady rate, I often try to see if there was good faith behind the misguided edits, and if so try to use the content to improve them, rather than simply revert them. If appropriate, I take the time to patrol other recent contribs by the vandal, and issue the proper warning on his Talk page. I've also (with assistance) dealt with an IP-range who was doing consistent vandalism, as well as reported a newly unblocked IP who had resumed vandalizing to the Admin who had issued the initial block, who proceeded to stop the vandal again. While I do not think I will be using Rollback powers (if granted) frequently, as they're not needed all that often (simple undo's often are sufficient), there has been a handful of opportunities where it could have been truly useful, following a stream of 5+ malicious edits, and I genuinely think it would be a good tool to have. I could understand reluctance to grant the power to a user who claims he will not use it all that much, but then again, it might not be in better hands with someone who vows to use it as much as he can. :) Salvidrim (talk) 06:35, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I will concede that the majority of my editing does not concern vandalism and I do not spend time specifically looking for it, however am quite willing to revert vandalism whenever I encounter it, as I think this selection of edits show: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15]. Should this permission be granted I am most likely to be a light user of it; but in cases of larger scale vandalism I am more likely to act if I have the tools than without. I am requesting rollback rights, to, well, revert vandalism more easily. I'm not a frequent reverter, and I do acknowlege accidental clicks in Twinkle and other errors, one today in which I meant to click [ROLLBACK (AGF)] instead of [ROLLBACK (VANDAL)], which I clicked.
