The former was (briefly) an article about a novel before it was redirected to the author. The latter has been targeted to various places at different times, but would perhaps make more sense as a redirect to The Go-Between.   • Disambig at The Past is a Foreign Country and retarget the other there. The most famous use is probably The Go-Between, but the prhase is barely mentioned there. Also worthy of entries are Gianrico Carofiglio (to where the article behind the first redirect was merged), David Lowenthal (who has written two award-winning books with this title) and White Heat (miniseries) which used this as the title of the first episode. It was also the title of an episode of Australian Story according to the articles of at least two people mentioned in that episode, but it isn't mentioned in the article and there doesn't appear to be a list of episodes or anywhere else relevant to target an entry. Additionally, it is the alternative title of 과거는 낯선 나라다, known mainly in English as "The Past is a Strange Country" but all we have on that is an entry at List of South Korean films of 2008 so I'm unsure if that's worthy of a dab entry? There may be scope (I've not looked in enough detail) for a separate dab at The Past is Another Country and if so the two should be linked by see-alsos as the line from The Go-Between is frequently misquoted in that manner.   • Keep as a categorised {{R from long name}}. Categorise Philippina Bausch as {{R from misspelling}}.
    This would appear to be a typical example of WP:CITOGENESIS. The first thing I notice is that German Wikipedia, with their reputation of accuracy, in de:Pina Bausch has the intro "Pina Bausch, eigentlich Philippine Bausch" (transl. "Pina Bausch, actually Philippine Bausch"), and German Wikipedia does not have a redirect from de:Philippina Bausch at all.
    Looking at the editing history of our article, the first time a full name was introduced was in March 2006 in Special:Diff/41764364: "Pina (short for Philippine), was born ...". For the next several years we have an intro saying Philippine "Pina" Bausch. This is alterated in July 2011 in Special:Diff/440110710/440115698 to Philippina "Pina" Bausch with a note saying "according to some sources her birth name was Philippine".
    Looking at Google Book sources prior to 2011 we get
    2 hits on "Philippina Bausch". Notably none of these are in German.
    The first one is a 1997 French source: Ensemble théâtral de Gennevilliers (1997). Théâtre/public: revue bi-mestrielle de l'Ensemble théâtral de Gennevilliers (in French). L'Ensemble. p. 11. Retrieved April 4, 2019. Danseuse et chorégraphe Philippina Bausch naquit à Solingen...
    The second is a 1998 source that quotes the aforementioned 1997 source: Editions des quatre-vents (1998). Ubu: scènes d'Europe (in Catalan). APITE. Retrieved April 4, 2019. Dans le numéro 139 de Théâtre/Public, Odette Asian poursuit une réflexion plus transversale. ... First of all, Odette Asian retraces the biography of Philippina Bausch, a "child of the war", bom in Nazi Germany, educated in the United-States, ...
    But we get countless hits on "Philippine Bausch" prior to 2011.
    Interestingly, the additional book sources that say Philippina Bausch are all published after 2011.

This is barely used redirect for {{reflist}} (about 136 times, although this is not always used for reflists) compared to {{reflist}}'s 4708565 times. However, I believe it would make a lot more sense to use as a redirect for {{Re}}.

{{Re}} is short for reply, much like you have in emails. And in emails, this is very, very, very often capitalized as RE:... and when people forget that {{RE}} ≠ {{Re}}, then what happens is that the person they intended to notify, doesn't get notified. Non-mainspace use reveal this is not uncommon. I know I made that mistake at least a dozen of times this year alone, before having to go back and fixing my pings.

Henre, I propose we retarget Template:RE to redirect to Template:Reply to (after taking care of existing uses). Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 16:20, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Headbomb: I support retargeting (after substing existing uses as appropriate), but note that {{re}} itself is a redirect, so {{RE}} should redirect to {{Reply to}} instead, to avoid the dreaded double redirect.
