Star Sports 1 is a sports channel owned by Star Sports network. Star Sports India re-branded and unified its channels with a brand new logo which came into effect from 5 November 2013 midnight onwards. By effect of that rebranding exercise STAR Sports became Star Sports 1, STAR Cricket to Star Sports 3, ESPN India to Star Sports 4, STAR Cricket HD to Star Sports HD1, and ESPN HD to Star Sports HD2. The channel broadcasts various sports including cricket and tennis along with live broadcast of football matches on weekends.[1]
