Description
English: World War I Vivat ribbon commemorating Battle of Tannenberg. Shows Wilhelm II and "Hindenburg der sieger von Tannenberg"(Hindenburg the winner of Tannenberg). This battle was led by von Hindenburg was the most significant German victory on the Eastern Front. Printed by Amsler & Ruthardt in Berlin for German Red Cross to raise funds for war relief. The ribbon is lilac in color and measures 15 ½" x 2 ½."
