Notes and Records: the Royal Society Journal of the History of Science is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering the history of science, technology, and medicine up to and including the 21st century. The journal also publishes recollections or autobiographical accounts recording important moments in science from the recent past. It also includes book reviews and news of research projects and online and other resources of interest to historians. It is published by the Royal Society and the editor-in-chief is Robert Fox.
History[edit]
The journal was established in 1938 as the Notes and Records of the Royal Society, under the control of Henry Lyons with the help of the assistant secretary of the Royal Society.[1] It obtained its current name in 2014.
Abstracting and indexing[edit]
The journal is abstracted and indexed in Scopus, Science Citation Index Expanded, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Current Contents/Arts & Humanities, Current Mathematical Publications, and MathSciNet. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2013 impact factor of 0.356.[2]
