Piperdown[edit]

Piperdown made his/her first edit in comment to the Essjay controversy talkpage[1] and has edited the article Naked short selling [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], and commented on the article talkpage, [11], [12], [13], [14]...discussion involving the additions he made can be found on his talk page. Prior checkuser at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/WordBomb confirmed numerous sock accounts, some of which have added almost identical edits to the Naked short selling article as Piperdown did.[15], [16], [17] Early edits by Piperdown and many of WordBomb's IP's and sock edits relate to stock market conspiracies. WordBomb checkuser was last(?) done in July 2006, so I suspect Piperdown will be using a similar or the same IP as one or several of the ones used by WordBomb. The confirmed sock account have also contributed heavily to biographies, removing "fluff" and doing other work, very similar to Piperdown.--MONGO 08:54, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

alleging that editors that certain other editors don't like (I opined on his RFC) is "wordbomb" sock puppet appears to be a common method to ban editors with no proof.
