Tweety21 (10th request)[edit]

Banned user Tweety21 constantly promotes musician Jordan Galland and recently added an external link to a MySpace fanpage for his band from the 65.119.181.165 IP (a fanpage that, to all appearances, was created by Tweety21) (diff). 29 minutes after that IP made an edit to Devon Aoki, Devonfan added an external link to a MySpace fanpage that was created by the same MySpace user as the Dopo Yome page (diff). An attempt to correct the URL was made by the 205.211.141.243 IP the following day (diff). Both IPs have been blocked as Tweety21. Please also check for any sleeper accounts from those IPs. Precious Roy (talk) 14:56, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Tweety21's apparently also back editing at 198.96.80.15 (talk · contribs) (diff, diff) so there could be accounts there, too. (It's a public library, so I certainly don't mean to imply that any account there is a Tweety21 sock.) Precious Roy (talk) 01:49, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Tweety21 (talk · contribs) is  Stale. However, since the IPs have been identified as Tweety21 socks based on behavior, I will mention that the Devonfan is  Confirmed. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 07:24, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Clerk note: Blocked. I am going to leave these untagged. Tiptoety talk 07:26, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 (9th request)[edit]

  • Code letter: F

Banned user Tweety21 has edited most recently from IPs 216.240.7.14, 216.191.208.99, 99.249.172.137, 99.249.176.49, and 198.96.80.15 (all in London, Ontario) but has edited from outside the area in the past (e.g. 24.136.237.25)—see here for a more complete list of IPs used in the past. The edits are more reserved than Tweety's normally are; she is using these accounts to promote Jordan Galland and his brother, Jonathan—all edits are to articles related to those two—rather than removing Tweety's warnings and sock tags. The Universalmeaning account was created specifically to !vote in Jonathan Galland's AfD. I had been holding off on submitting these accounts for checkuser but the previous checkuser on her shows that she is still active on Wikipedia.

As always, please check for any sleeper accounts. Precious Roy (talk) 13:39, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Why didn't you just put these in with the others on the last request, which closed very recently? Maybe I'm confused and there's a nuance here I am missing. thanks... ++Lar: t/c 15:26, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I had noticed some of the above accounts before and had my suspicions but wasn't quite sure enough for a checkuser. The account in my last request I was positive of, and it being affirmed (along with new activity by most of the above accounts) has made me confident enough to submit this new request. (Also, new actions by Universalmeaning since submitting this checkuser has me almost certain.) I appreciate your help and I hope my methods haven't caused any problems. Precious Roy (talk) 15:50, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
and if it's not too much to ask, can you check StarScreen (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), formerly Fatres (talk · contribs)? An older checkuser on Fatres returned "appears to be unrelated" so I understand if you won't re-check but recent edits convince me it's very likely another Tweety sock. Precious Roy (talk) 18:07, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Strangely, the IP above seems unrelated to any of the accounts above - Alison 08:34, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unlike The Fonz, I can admit when I was wr-wr-wr-wr-wr... I was wr-wr... mistaken! Thanks for your help. The 173 IP was quick to remove the note I left on Universalmeaning's talk page after getting your results. Cheers! Precious Roy (talk) 20:57, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 (8th request)[edit]

Banned user Tweety21 has edited most recently from IPs 216.240.7.14, 216.191.208.99, 99.249.172.137, and 99.249.176.49. Judging from the time the account was created it was most likely 198.96.80.15 (edited from there minutes earlier). Users edits are typically Tweety21: removing warnings, etc. directed at her, and making outrageous claims (that she's removing content where adults are trying to get in touch with children, claiming to clean up vandalism but not doing so.)

As always, please check for any sleeper accounts. Precious Roy (talk) 01:32, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Results[edit]

Highly  Likely that Janiceworthers==Tweety21 ... the use of 198.96.80.15 makes it almost a certainty. I found a few good users on that IP which I left, but I also found some zero contrib sleepers, which I choose, in view of the repetitive nature of the returns, to block.

All have been blocked and tagged as Tweety21 socks. A comment, I probably would not go with the same approach on the messages left for the IP... taunting might not be the right note to strike. ++Lar: t/c 23:36, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 (7th request)[edit]

(Note: I am aware I am semi-bordering on a fishing case)
New user Msmariah1 showed up today on WP:ANI, and appears to be disruptive, towards Ward3001, like Tweety21 has been in the past. Additionally, Msmariah1 signed her post on ANI exactly like Tweety21. Request CheckUser to see if Msmariah1 is a sockpuppet of Tweety21. Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 23:15, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Msmariah has also edited from an IP that is now listed above. Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 23:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Confirmed with respect to the named user(s). no No comment with respect to IP address(es). - also Ramonaespinosa (talk · contribs) - Alison 03:22, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Message from Msmariah moved from top of case)
First of all, I have no clue who this tweety person is. Also, who gave wiki permission to publish my ip? If someone hacks my computer b/c wiki published my ip, there will be legal ramifications.

Secondly, I don't know what any of these ridiculous phrases mean (i.e sockpuppet). I also have no clue as to why someone is accusing me of signing a post "on ANI" similar to another poster I've never heard of? What the heck is going on here?

And most importantly, there isn't just one person in the whole wide world who complains about Ward3001. This is paranoia to the extreme. Stop harassing me and stop posting my ip address.--Msmariah1 (talk) 02:12, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Then I suggest you don't edit using an IP address, and don't link it to yourself. I also suggest you stop returning to Wikipedia. Per the privacy policy, a CheckUser could have confirmed whether the IP was you or not. But they didn't, so you should be thankful. Also, I suggest you don't make legal threats, as we block editors who make them. For the record, both accounts reported to AIAV for blocking. Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 03:37, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And blocked by SchuminWeb. Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 03:46, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 (6th request)[edit]

Banned user Tweety21 previously used a sock (User:Dopofan) to create the same article this user has. Beyond that, their editing style and promoting of Jordan Galland and his band Dopo Yume are other constants. As usual, please check for sleeper accounts (see WP:LTA#User:Tweety21 for list of IPs). Precious Roy (talk) 10:11, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Fatres appears to be Red X Unrelated Thatcher 11:15, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 (5th request)[edit]

Only edits are vandalising the talk page of one of banned user Tweety21's IPs, including altering Tweety21's name in the IPsock tag. Please check for sleepers (see WP:LTA#User:Tweety21 for list of IPs). Precious Roy (talk) 19:43, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Confirmed as above. I'd also been checking and edit-conflicted with Thatcher above. Also  IP blocked - as it had been blocked previously and socking re-started when the 2-week block expired - Alison 23:26, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 (4th request)[edit]

Account used to blank page that details edit history of banned user Tweety21 (only edits). Please check for sleepers (see archived request for list of IPs). Precious Roy (talk) 02:07, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21[edit]

Banned user Tweety21 continues to create accounts and edit from various IPs. Some of these accounts have been already been blocked but I am requesting verification that these are, in fact, her and also wonder if there are any as-yet undiscovered accounts that were created by the same user. Angelheart25 may have been set up while visiting someone at Christmas—account was created and all edits were on 26 Dec, nothing since (reverted an article to an months-older version by Tweety21, user page very similar to Tweety21's and her various socks). Some IPs known to have been used include the ranges 142.205.xxx.xxx and 65.95.xxx.xxx, also 198.96.80.15 (a library), 70.54.193.128, 216.191.208.99, 216.240.7.14, 74.110.247.117, 99.249.172.137; user most often edits out of London, Ontario. Precious Roy (talk) 00:01, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Adding Wikiwasteoftime—Editing Tweety21-related sock tags and comments re:Tweety21). (User has now been blocked.) Precious Roy (talk) 23:31, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Adding Jonathanwins—Posts complaints in multiple forums re: a comment that JzG made about Tweety21). (This user has been blocked.) Precious Roy (talk) 13:37, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Additional—one of Tweety21's old IPs (142.205.212.203) has been quite active this today, edits almost exclusively on own talk page, including removal of Tweety21 sock tag. Please give special attention to any accounts recently created from this IP, a 3-month block expired less than a week ago and the protection tag was removed from the page early today. Precious Roy (talk) 01:04, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Adding Newyorkjill, Texastuna, and Jonastate; all three blanked information from Tweety21's ban discussion immediately after the accounts were created. Precious Roy (talk) 01:29, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

information Note: I checked a few of these and confirmed they were Tweety21, you missed Peterchomers (talk · contribs). There are no obvious additional accounts. No comment on the IPs but draw your own conclusions. Thatcher 14:08, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21[edit]

Banned user Tweety21 frequently edited Jordan Galland (and created—and re-created—an article for Galland's band Dopo Yume). A new user, Dopofan, has started editing the Galland article as well as Bijou Phillips, another article which Tweety21 edited. Precious Roy (talk) 21:44, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ban discussion took place here. --Yamla (talk) 21:54, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21[edit]

Indefinitely blocked user Tweety21 (also blocked at various IPs) edited yesterday as Gayunicorn and started up again today as Wiccawikka. See also Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Tweety21. Precious Roy 16:09, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added new suspected sock (Buddahelps) and what the heck, even though it's got an indef block, can you please check Gayunicorn, just to be sure? Precious Roy 02:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I blocked Wiccawikka and Buddahelps as transparently obvious sockpuppets. I'd like to request disclosure of any other socks. --Yamla 21:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Added new socks David0007, Julia1970 and a new IP, all now blocked. Precious Roy 17:51, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see anything. --Deskana (talk) 20:20, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have redacted the IP addresses as the user has expressed a privacy concern. She has been unblocked following a (hopefully) productive conversation. Thatcher131 20:32, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fine by me. Case closed. Clerks should feel free to archive. --Deskana (talk) 22:58, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(undent) Added one more suspect sock that came up in discussion today. Before this case is closed can there be some kind of confirmation as to whether or not these are all Tweety21's socks? I ask because while she has admitted to some of them, she has not admitted to them all, and a confirmation would really help clear that up. Precious Roy 23:38, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no Declined. This is bordering on a request to prove innocence, which we don't process. --Deskana (talk) 23:43, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, what? This is absolutely a request to prove guilt. Tweety21 continually denied she was using socks, all the while using them to edit disruptively. When she finally "came clean", she still said "Sock puppet reveiw was never conclusive", refusing to fully admit guilt. Especially important is the Darcy monaco, since she directly denied that it was her, when admitting other wrongs. Precious Roy 23:50, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tweety21 17:21, 5 October 2007 (UTC)thanks for all your help, as a closing remark, I would like to say that if by editing, I knew I was somehow exposing my location to anybody out on wikipedia, where I go to the library, where I work, I never would have bothered as this was just a hobby for me. Also I am sure by checking the ip of Darcy Monaco (someone I have never met, and I would never use someone else name!!) you realize it is coming from a different country than I reside in, would appreciate if you would take "abusive sock puppet" off her id if possible- I am too embarassed to send her an email about this (email meaning via wikipedia) yesh I think I am retiring from Wiki :O)Tweety21 17:21, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do you know so much information about someone who has not only never mentioned any of it on Wikipedia, but has no e-mail set? I'm starting to wonder why you were unblocked. --Deskana (talk) 19:55, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Darcy monaco (talk · contribs) has deleted contribs to an article whose other significant contributor was Tweety21, and I pointed this out on her talk page. She denies being related. This conversation is ocurring on multiple levels. Perhaps we should converge somewhere. My view of this incident is that Tweety21 has edited a lot while logged out, giving the appearance (intentional or not I do not know) of sockpuppetry. When Precious Roy starting taking her articles to AfD and CSD, she overreacted and made a threat, for which she was blocked. While blocked, she used sockpuppets to complain about the block and to try and stop people from talking about her IP addresses, which she had not realized were publicly available and easily tied to her employer and geographic location. After withdrawing the threat and having the IP situation explained to her, I unblocked. With the possible exception of the Darcy monaco account, her other disruptive actions ocurred after the block and I think it is reasonable to accept that her actions were the result of not understanding Wikipedia arcana like deletion policy, the consequences of IP editing, that using Special:Contributions is not always stalking, and so on. Other explanations are also possible and if I am wrong and this turns out to be a disruptive user, she can be reblocked. As long as she is not currently running additional sockpuppets, I'm not sure there is anything to be gained by pursuing this further at this time. Thatcher131 22:12, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tweety21 12:19, 6 October 2007 (UTC) As stated before, I do not know this girl, I googled her name (try it) and some info popped up, I told you if you wish I can fax in photo id...anything to clear up this sort of ridiculous accusation! I live in another country..I am not a US citizen!(can't you tell by my ip?) Tweety21 12:19, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Clerks please archive. Nothing more to do here. --Deskana (talk) 12:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
