Nominator's rationale: Delete User:Chendy also created this category, mis-named and unnecessary in light of the existing Category:Documentaries about visual artists and his new and also mis-named parent category Category:Documentary film about the arts, which I'll be taking to WP:CFDS for a speedy rename.   • Rename actually there is a gap here. The other category is only for films about artISTS; neither film not tv has an "art" category, so eg the Civilisation (TV series) (by Kenneth Clark) cannot currently be categorized in any other art category. Since the documentary tree allows both film & tv, rename this to Category:Documentaries about visual art - the parent seems split on whether or not to say "d.. films". Nominator's rationale: Delete I don't want to be dismissive of potential overpopulation problems in Category:Documentaries by topic in my other CfD today, particularly after adding so many subcats myself. To that end, I recommend deleting this category until such time as other articles about documentary films on advertising are created or found. This category created in 2007 has but one article: Czech Dream (which one could argue isn't really about the advertising business at all, documenting a hoax by the filmmakers for a school project). Nominator's rationale: Delete. An editor apparently felt the parent was overpopulated, and so moved 13 categories to this new grouping, without discussion. This had the unfortunate result of making the these 13 topic categories that much harder to find, as the criteria for what constitutes a "documentary film about society" are completely undefined and subject to WP:OC#OPINION. For example, Category:Documentary films about drugs are classified by the category creator as documentaries about "society," whereas Category:Political documentaries and Category:Documentaries about religion are not, appearing to exist outside the social realm, the logic of which escapes me. We shouldn't have this category for the same reason we don't have a Category:Media about society tree: it's ill-defined, subjective and doesn't aid navigation, unlike the two other categories User:Chendy created, grouping arts and science docs, which do help.
