Thanks for suggested reading[edit]

Thanks for your comment at Talk:Cadherin#Popularized summary section and willingness to look for non-technical material. Due to your lead I'm going to peruse Wikipedia starting with the article on embryogenesis. Should be fun. Pknkly (talk) 16:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, thanks for the suggested reading. I progressed from embryogenesis through Germ layer and onto Organogenesis. I picked up other articles along the way (e.g., ectoderm, endoderm, and mesoderm and others that I felt were important). Throughout all of it I kept in mind the article on Cadherin. To me is sounded like the articles you suggested said what happens and the article on cadherin (and actin) say how it happens. Are cadherins present in cells right from the start and are they then continually produced by the cells? I reread the article on cadherin and this time the article seemed to imply a cell "differentiation" or grouping role - not just cell adhesion . If that is correct, then the lead paragraph within the cadherins article may need to be changed to highlight the differentiation or grouping role. Pknkly (talk) 20:30, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One last note of thanks at User talk:Pknkly#Cadherin further reading. Pknkly (talk) 02:10, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
