Sergei Kochetov (Russian: Сергей Кочетов ) is a Russian opera, folk and church singer blessed with a unique basso profondo voice. He was born in the Siberian Ulan-Ude.
In his youth he was a soloist of the famous Kuban Cossack Choir, where he proved to be an excellent performer of Russian folk songs. Sergei Kochetov is a graduate of the Nowosybirskiego Conservatory singing opera and chamber music. While still a student he became a soloist Nowosybirskiego Opera and Ballet Theatre, where he sang the year of all the major bass roles in operas by Russian and foreign composers ("Tsar's Bride", "Prince Igor", "The Magic Flute", "Aleko"). Sergei Kochetov performed at many prestigious festivals and chamber opera concerts, among others.
