English: Local train to Tirano on the last grade (70 per mil, 1 in 14!) before Ospizio Bernina. The train is hauled by an ABe 4/4 II multiple unit and a dual-mode (diesel and electric) locomotive Gem 4/4, working in multiple. Because the standard coaches are a bit lighter than the panoramic coaches, seven standard coaches instead of only six panoramic coaches can be hauled without exceeding the maximal load of 140 metric tons.
Deutsch: Regionalzug nach Tirano auf der letzten Steigung (70 Promille!) vor Ospizio Bernina. Der Zug wird von einem ABe 4/4 II und einer Gem 4/4 gezogen. Da die Standard-Personenwagen etwas leichter sind als die Panoramawagen, können sieben Wagen anstatt sechs angehängt werden, ohne dass die Maximallast von 140 Tonnen überschritten wird. |
