Español: Escudo del municipio Vargas, estado Vargas, Venezuela. El municipio Vargas es el único municipio del estado Vargas con el cual comparte el territorio, pero del que se encarga en otro nivel. Tiene su propio escudo diferente del estadal, el cual tiene en su cuartel superior una nave llegando a la costa por el Puerto de La Guaira, en el cuartel inferior derecho un gorro frigio entre laureles de oro, representando la lucha de Vargas por la independencia, como Gual y España los precursores, en el cuartel inferior izquierdo un ancla, que representa la vocación marítima ya que todas las parroquias del municipio tienen costa y muchas tienen muelles, lo soportan peces espada, fusiles y palmeras, por arriba tiene un castillo y un sol amaneciendo, debajo tiene 2 cañones y 2 fechas 20 de julio de 1589 fundación de la Guaira, y 20 de abril de 1810 fecha en la que sale por la Guaira el último gobernante español Vicente Emparam, y debajo dice Municipio Vargas
