Articles are automatically placed into this holding category if the attention parameter flag is set to a value of "yes" on the WikiProject Soil project banner attached to the article's talk page.

"Articles needing attention" include: those with POV concerns, articles requiring substantial prose and layout overhauls, and assorted other general cleanup activities. Once the matter needing attention (e.g. correction of dubious factual content or POV concerns) has been satisfactorily addressed, the attention flag should be removed.

Articles should be sorted into maintenance subcategories using the following parameters in the project tag:

• Merge: merge= yes

• Photo needs-photo = yes

• Map needs-map = yes
