Downtown Srinagar

Nice article. You should not use mapsofindia as a citation, it is an unreliable website. Bladesmulti (talk) 13:01, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

All right....

thanks Owais Khursheed (Talk to me) 06:08, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your orphan and unreferenced tag additions to Star Wars Rebel; it is a disambiguation page, and hence does not require references or other articles linking to it. Pax 09:35, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Criticism of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad

Hello Owais Khursheed,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Criticism of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad for deletion, because it seems to be an article that was previously deleted by a consensus decision.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Bladesmulti (talk) 10:01, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey !!! Yes I think it was wrongly deleted, but what can you do its wikipedia not a professional encyclopaedia lol Adjutor101 (talk) 10:02, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Adjutor101: Yup man, I think many users of the Wikipedia are followers of Mirza, and they don't want his dirt to be criticized. Owais Khursheed (Talk to me) 10:26, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Clyde Theorem"

A page you created, Clyde Theorem, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is very short and provides little or no context.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 04:05, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Donner60: I have not created this article. Please message the proper user. Owais Khursheed (Talk to me) 04:12, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. I am sorry for the mistake and I will re-tag it and put the message on the proper talk page. I tried to delete the above message in the manner prescribed by the guidelines (strike through) but for some reason I am unaware of, in this case the strike through carries through this message. Please take this message as showing that I would delete the message due to my error if I could get the code to work. Donner60 (talk) 04:36, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Quick question

Hi Owais, I wanted to know how I can write on someone's user talk page when I don't have a link like you provided. I wanted to leave a message for someone in my class but, do I need to know their username in order to leave a message? Or if I have their username how do I find them? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiffygc1 (talk • contribs) 18:23, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Owais, I am responding to your welcome message. Forgive me if this should not be posted here. Owais, I love Wikipedia, however, because it is so comprehensive it can be a bit confusing to us newcomers. I have a few questions. I know someone is going to scream "read the Help pages" but I find it extremely time-consuming. First of all, was I supposed to post this message on "my" User Page? Please forward this list of questions to anyone you think can help. 1. I created a book with 5 articles last night and saved it. This morning it only reflects 1 article. 2. I have 2 books under construction. Both have similar "names/paths" so I would like to stay organized. How do you access the page where it shows all your saved books? I know I have seen it, I just don't understand how you access different books when you want different articles saved in different books. Thank you for reading this. Can someone please direct me to your "Book Creator" specialist? Swamixyz (talk) 15:15, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • It would help if you provided links to these books. My first thought is: do you actually know how to read your own contributions history or use Special:PrefixIndex/? I can see four books in your user space. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:44, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Answered at his user talk by administrator RHaworth. Owais Khursheed (Talk to me) 14:05, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

thanks for your welcoming message. Asrar ul Haq (talk) 16:18, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello Owais Khursheed. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), or content (CSD A3), moments after they are created. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.Template:Z149Adam9007 (talk) 21:03, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hotel Comrade inn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Moving and claiming of Page Pethmakhama

Hi, I created the article Pethmakhama Magam Budgam but why did you move it to Pethmakhama Budgam, i don't know what is the problem but let it be with original name. Pethmakhama 08:24, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

@Pethmakhama: the name of the village is pethmakhama, so it is appropriate to have the of the article as pethmakhama, budgam or simply pethmakhama is also good. The name u suggested is too long and is not appropriate. Regarding that u have created the article, boy this Wikipedia, once you have submitted your article it can be edited and modified by anyone and you cant claim that it belongs to only you, this is first policy of the wikipedia that it is free.

thanks, hope that helps Owais Khursheed (Talk to me) 15:23, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request

Greetings Mr Owais Khursheed,

Could you kindly help me translate this text into the Kashmiri language (in Kashmiri Arabic script)? please.

Your help would be fully appreciated, Thank you. (Note: A Kashmiri Gospel of John does exist here in PDF format however it is not in digital unicode text format). --Philip J (talk) 11:52, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Another native Kashmiri speaker has helped translate the text as follows:

Khudayes oos yeth dunyahas saet yut mohabat tavey sooz taem panun kuney nechu yor, yus tames paeth vishwas karey su marey na keh su gachey amarhas.

I have tried typing it on the Kashmiri keyboard and here is the result:

کہترمپھو ججو پھٹہ رتغپمہمو ومھٹ پتٹ عجہمشمٹ ٹمسھپ وججق ٹمھع حمغتغ کتغھپ غھےہت پجد، پتو ٹمعھو حمھٹہ سبوہصمو کمدھپ وت عمدھپ غم کھہ وت لمےہھپ معمد۔

Could you confirm whether this is correct or not and help fix any errors? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philip J (talk • contribs) 04:51, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
