Revision as of 14:37, 12 April 2007

This was put up for speedy deletion. I untagged it, but are you going to add some info that indicates why this person is notable? Was his death notorious or something. Herostratus 15:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gosh, give me a second. I had to change my kid's diaper. I'm in the middle of writing it.

You said: "Can I ask why you took down the link to Jinxy? After all, the cat in the movie was portrayed by the same cat who played Jinxy in Meet The Parents. This wasn't me trying to be cute about my namesake. It's actual information. Seems kind of petty to take it down, especially since it was simply a "See Also". I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm trying to figure out where you're coming from. Thanks."

If that is the case, my apologies. On one of the pages, I saw that you had a link to your own user page so I did indeed think this was you "trying to be cute". I appreciate that you pointed out my error and did so in a civil manner. Please feel free to readd the removed information if it is valid. --Yamla 15:25, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Yamla. I appreciate it.

Dear Cyberjunkie,

I don't require your assistance. If I do have any questions, I'll ask Yamla. This conversation is over. Further replies will be removed without response. Regards.

Blocked

You have been blocked to prevent you creating any more articles by copying content from other sites. Your actions are completely unacceptable. Any text you contribute to the Wikipedia must be your original work; copying someone else's work and claiming it as your own is illegal and is not permitted here. --Yamla 15:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To anyone else reading this section, Mister Jinxy went out of his way after being blocked to contact the owners of the copyrighted material and get permission for Wikipedia to use the content. He was also very polite in his dealings with me. He truly went above and beyond to get this matter resolved and to demonstrate that he clearly understands the requirements. I am taking this time to thank this user for the effort he put in to resolve the problem. Generally dealing with copyvios is a thankless task because it can be hard to explain the requirements to users but this was not the case with Jinxy. If only all users could be as responsive. --Yamla 23:59, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Muchas gracias para su mensaje. Mister Jinxy 00:02, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like at least Wes Freed has now been confirmed, see Talk:Wes Freed. Once again, thanks. Happy editing! --Yamla 23:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberjunkie

A situation like this may be best handled by a more formal process. I would suggest WP:ANI. Mr.Z-mantalk¢Review! 21:51, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am willing to mediate, please see my statement and reply. Thanks! —— Eagle101 Need help? 21:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replied. Thanks.

Mister Jinxy 01:14, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have asked a second question, if you don't want to continue, let me know. —— Eagle101 Need help? 04:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I want to continue until this gets resolved. Has Cyberjunkie indicated a willingness to play ball? From his last comment it appears as if he thinks he's above such petty matters.

AfD nomination of Frank Jasper

An editor has nominated Frank Jasper, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frank Jasper and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it.
