Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as those in Queen's University, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! <!-- Template:Nor --> <span style="border: 1px solid green;"><font style="background: green" face="Arial" color="#FFFFFF">Ardenn</font></span> 23:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

It is important to keep a cool head, despite any comments against you. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and action can be taken against the other parties if necessary. Your involvement in attacking back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors, and lead to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. Please do not remove messages from your talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted comments. Thanks. <!-- Template:Wr0 (first level warning) --> <span style="border: 1px solid green;"><font style="background: green" face="Arial" color="#FFFFFF">Ardenn</font></span> 23:52, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove warnings from your talk page or replace them with offensive content. Blanking your talk page will not remove the warnings from the page history. Revision as of 00:05, 15 May 2006

Hello JaysCyYoung, and welcome to Wikipedia! The first thing you should know is that we encourage you to be bold. Feel free to edit and improve articles, by clicking any 'edit' link.

If you'd like to test what Wikipedia can do, check out the sandbox - just type and save the page and your text will appear. That's the beauty of a Wiki.

For more information check out some of the important links below. If you really need help, just type helpme on your user page. It's that easy!

If you'd like to get involved with current projects, have a look at the Community Portal. There are always tasks for users to do, ranging from copyediting to expanding stubs.

I hope you'll enjoy your time here, but be warned, it can become addictive! Feel free to message me, I'm more than happy to help. As an added tip, sign any message you post so users know that you've said it. To do so is delightfully simple, just use the wikicode ~~~~.

Once again, welcome! Jfingers88 19:31, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcoming

I welcome a lot of users, usually 50 (a page worth) in about 5 minutes. I use a handy little welcome template that can be found on my user page. I'm glad you've been editing for a while and finally decided to get a user account. Just don't forget to sign your posts to talk pages with ~~~~. You can edit what your signature looks like in your preferences, so you could have it say "Jameson" as you put on my talk page. Happy editing! Jfingers88 21:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Newmarket 404 interchanges

Good day.

I see that you consider there are four 404 interchanges in Newmarket. I count only three (including Green Lane, which, though in East Gwillimbury, does "serve" Newmarket): Mulock Drive, Davis Drive, and Green Lane. What is the fourth interchange?

French program at NHS?

What exactly do you mean by that? Every school has one. I have a feeling you mean an extended or immersion programme. Please say which it is. Kelisi 00:56, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Firstly, I would like to apologize for my rude message to you. It's been a rough couple of days for myself and I have been a little too emotional and quick to anger. It doesn't reflect positively on myself and was unfair to you when you were making perfectly legitimate questions and edits. I apologize for my message to you. It wasn't done in a rational state of mind.

Secondly, it has been announced (I have actually had the priviledge of talking with a teacher at NHS who informed me of the move) that NHS will be the region's main immersion school. All Canadian students are obviously expected to have an education in French (at least up to Grade 9). However, this is what I believe to be the Immersion Program. It will only be for a select few students as the great majority will obviously continue to learn in English, but they are moving it from Aurora High.

Hopefully that helps!

OTCS AfD

I've reverted the removal of the AfD tag on Over the Counter-Strike. It's considered unacceptable to remove the tag while the discussion is still ongoing. I also reverted your deletion of a legitimate vote/comment from the AfD disccussion (if you feel necessary, you can bring up the civility issue with another admin). Thanks. — TKD::Talk 04:04, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing comments from Articles for deletion discussions; it is considered vandalism. You may comment on the discussion if you have problems with it, but don't remove material that's already there. — TKD::Talk 01:47, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the correct procedure, I would think, would be to get an admin to look at the insults, not delete them yourself. — TKD::Talk 01:55, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing the contributions of others from AfD discussions is highly inappropriate and is liable to get you blocked for vandalism if you continue. I regret that you didn't interpret my remarks in the same playful tone that I intended them, but that by no means gives you the prerogative to remove other people's contributions to a discussion. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 05:41, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys, let's let a guy who lets his bias get in the way of decisions have an adminship and then he can ban a user who contributes to Wikipedia! It is sure to be effective! --Tykell 18:43, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. The treatment I have received from Phil Welch, an individual who is on an obvious power trip and abusing his administrative resources for personal gain, is nothing short of outlandish and embarassing to Wikipedia. I have consistently been a strong contributor to numerous articles and it is somewhat demoralizing to have been blocked from editing a page of which I was one of the primary creators of. This behaviour on Phil Welch's part strikes me as being ridiculously hypocritical.
