Shaunae Miller (born 15 April 1994) is a Bahamian sprinter. She completed her high school education at St. Augustine's College in Nassau, Bahamas and attended the University of Georgia, before turning professional.[1]
Career
At the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics, Miller became the first Bahamian to win the 400 metres.
Miller signed a letter of intent with the University of Georgia.[2] She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was the flag-bearer for the Bahamas at the 2016 Summer Olympics.[3] At the 2012 Olympics, she did not finish her heat.
At the 2016 Olympics she won the Gold medal in the 400 meters, beating Allyson Felix by 0.07 seconds in a personal best time of 49.44 seconds.[4][5]
