Kalup Linzy was born on July 23, 1977 in Clermont, Florida. He is video and performance artist currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Linzy's work has been exhibited in major museums throughout the world including The Studio Museum in Harlem, Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia, and P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center in Long Island City, New York. In addition, his work has been reviewed in The New York Times [1], Art in America, and Artforum. He is currently represented by Taxter and Spengeman Gallery in New York.
