The 1923 Atlantic hurricane season was an ongoing event in the annual cycle of tropical cyclone formation. It officially began on June 1, 1923 and ended on November 30, 1923.

The 1923 season was an average season with 7 tropical storms, of which 2 became hurricanes and one became a major hurricane. The season began late with a tropical storm forming southwest of Bermuda on August 30th. A hurricane threatened the East Coast of Florida, but turned out to sea. A tropical storm came from the Pacific, crossed the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, and became a hurricane to hit Louisiana in October. 4 other tropical storms roamed the Atlantic in October.
