Dewalt is a registered trademark of Black and Decker, first created between 1966-1968 as a new professional line of portable power tools (they introduced a line of heavy duty radial arm saws). So to answer your question yes Dewalt was created by Black and Decker. Tim 01/23/2006 |

Black and Decker didn't create Dewalt. Dewalt was a seperate power tool company. It was purchased by Black and Decker in the early 90's or so. Dominic 17:02, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
