== Re: My request for permissions response to Shanel ==

Thanks very much for your heads up about my responding to Steward Shanel's query. I had responded to her query some time ago, but to date have never received either an acknowledgement or reply from her. In replying to her query, I had clicked on her signature and replied on her talk page.

Lack of courtesy (and competency in the instances I've been involved with) of Wikipedia officialdom is becoming an issue with me. I brought the issue of Shanel not responding to my answer to her (on her talk page) up to "Danny", and to what I considered to be an off-the-wall, "Catch-22" suggestion from Sean Whitton (by back-channel Internet e-mail, not via Wikipedia's talk pages, by the way) that I need to get "community consensus" for my request. Very obviously Whitton hadn't bothered to read my request (I doubt if he even knew where to look, based on his several week-long foot dragging to my very simple request for finding out the name of the sysop(s) for the TPI Wikis), where I thought I stated very clearly that there was no Tok Pisin community. Talk about an Administrator (or whatever Whitton is) sending a dog to chase its tail ...

Anyway, I made a note about my two Wikipedia Administrator incidents (there's a third, one-year old, Administrator that I have little regard for its competency as the result of an AfD I submitted in May) on Board candidate "Danny"'s Q&A page. I received a short, courteous reply from him, in which he said "if he were still a Steward" he'd see that I got the permissions I needed. I replied in turn with hopes that perhaps he could talk to someone about getting the ball rolling on getting me temp sysop permissions for the two TPI Wikis. Nonetheless, I doubt that anything will be done about it.

Re the two TPI Wikis, I've come up with and implemented (on a test basis) quite a few of my ideas/suggestions about the TPI Wikipedia (for example, bilinguality), and have been working daily for many weeks now to update the Wiki's Main page with current affairs in tok pisin, and with regional photos from Wiki Commons files. In my opinion, that section of the front page, the only sections of the page that I can directly edit (the page was locked sometime in the past, and I don't have the permissions required to unlock it) is looking quite good. But that's only my opinion.

The work I did on the section today was to expand today's one-paragraph (usually multi-paragraph) section by inserting explanations of English words and phrases, and providing an ex-Wiki link to the Act defining "The Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority". But what I consider innovative work on today's page is my providing (in tok pisin) explanations to the English words used in the daily news summaries.

In addition to my daily work on the TPI Wikipedia's "Fes fran", I've also been busy trying to drum up support for a WikiProject Melanesia "Tok Pisin" community in the EN Wikipedia by dropping "please join us" suggestions on the talk pages of users who have written or otherwise shown interest in Melanesia. That effort has resulted in User:Wantok (an excellent, but 'turned-down' candidate for Adminstrator) setting up a sub-page of the Project page for discussions about how to reorganize and revitalize the two TPI Wikis, and another Melanesia-experienced user ("Aliasd") to join in as well. A small start, but we're hoping the little start-up community will grow.

To be honest with you though, Jose, I've got a major project of my own that I've put aside for far too long now, one that actually first got me started with using Wikipedia, and one that now I absolutely must get back to completing (see my EN Wikipedia article, Tip wage credit). There are state policies involved that I want to work to get changed, and my 'tip wage credit' article is fundamental as basic information justifying changes in my state's wage and hour laws. If Wikipedia's administrative infrastructure is incapable of working quickly to meet my legitimate requests and needs (or anyone else's for that matter) for temporary sysop permissions, then I'll have no other option but to wave goodbye to the TPI revitalization project and go back to work to go off and get my tip wage credit project completed.

I've become a "true believer" in the bilingual Melanesian/Oceania encyclopedia project and the multi-lingual tok pisin dictionary. So if I do come back to the two TPI Wikis project, it might quite possibly be to use the project as a test bed to set up an independent, Wiki software-based, Melanesia/Oceania encyclopedia and dictionary. As you know, the complete Wikipedia software package is available for downloading. I have a web-designer nephew on Saipan that has his own servers that will support the software, and I have the technical ability to use the Wiki software to set up the encyclopedia and dictionary as independent Internet entities. And if I do so, I will have available to me all the permissions I need to do creative work with the encyclopedia and dictionary — and I won't have to keep "banging my head against a brick wall" as the saying goes in dealing with what I can't help to feel is an overly-bureaucratized Wikipedia Administration.

Anyway, I've found your suggestions in the past to be correct and very helpful, and I hope you'll to continue to monitor my "progress". I was envious when I saw that you were granted (and deserved) sysop permissions so quickly for yet another Wiki project. But as they say, "that's the way the system works".

My best regards to you, [[User:K. Kellogg-Smith|K. Kellogg-Smith]] 16:49, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Translation into Albanian

Hi Jose77,

I saw you request on Dan's user page for translation of some paragraphs regarding the Sacraments. I don't know whether Dan helped you, but this is a version of my translation. I hope this will help you. You can contact me here Ulisi 21:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of new line

Hi Jose,
This is the translation of the new line. As you are much more into these religious verses, please note that "latter" in Albanian can be translated as (të vonshëm) meaning something that comes time-wise later and (të dytë) means "the second" and refers to sometheng that happened for the second time (reoccurred). So, it is up to you to decide which is the right form in the given context.Ulisi 23:22, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

“Kisha e Vërtetë e Jezusit, e themeluar nga Jezu Krishti Zot përmes Shpirtit të Shenjtë gjatë kohës së “shiut të vonshëm (të dytë)”, është kthimi te kisha e vërtetë e kohës Apostolike.”

Norfuk

Hi Jose77,

I will be happy to translate that for you, when I have the time. Sorry, in between vandalism and other things, I've been quite busy.
