Great power

Greetings, good article.HCSS 2014 report describes Italy as a great power (it's a very important source and very recent). It's difficult today describe a perfetc great power except for the USA.Italy (and India may be even it's global position it's weaker) can be added in the flags of today great powers.Greetings again)151.40.23.226 (talk) 08:49, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I read the HCSS 2014 report, and I only saw it mentioned the USA, EU, China and Russia as great powers. Maybe I missed the part where it called Italy a great power, could you tell me what page number it is on? Thanks. Antiochus the Great (talk) 09:16, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was post in overlaps of Middle power article. It has been removed. Also the italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and many newspapers named Italy great power in the last times(Italy has "beaten " India in a long lasting international argue). You are a very good english writer.Theoretically it's difficult to distinguish great powers at the described levels.Just Canada is border line for demography and military.Germany and Japan are better than France, UK and Italy for economy and demography but not for military or cultural power.Russia lacks totally for economy and partially as cultural power.China lacks for level of life and same India that is much worse in economy (above all in net national wealth that is more important than nominal GDP).USA are the perfect great power as single country. 151.40.23.226 (talk) 09:38, 14 June 2016 (UTC)151.40.23.226 (talk) 09:31, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

At pages 15-16 and others there are even garaphics.Italy is set like Germany and Japan. Now it'd be correct according to the HCSS definition setting Italy in the list with flags.I'm bipolar like W. Churchill and i'd like an opinion otherwise i add.Silence means yes in latin.151.40.23.226 (talk) 10:21, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for telling me the page number! You are correct, Italy is included in the same rank of Great Powers as Germany and Japan. So yes, we can use the HCSS report in the article supporting Italy as a great power. Also, I agree with everything you said above, it can be very difficult to distinguish great powers, but we have to do our best with the sources we are given. Thanks for your help. I just added the 2014 HCSS report to the Great Power article supporting Italy as a great power. Antiochus the Great (talk) 13:28, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You 've been honest.I admire you.Italy holds a low profile by statal secrets in many aspects (military for istance)because of Vatican City. 151.40.23.226 (talk) 13:52, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
