Welcome to my talk page.
House Rules
  1. I may or may not respond to a post you make here on this page, I will try to respond, but if I don't, you will survive, I'm sure.
  2. If I revert or remove your post from my page, it could be that I do not find the discussion germane to me; alternately it could be that I find something in the posting to be preachy or pedantic, in which case I will simply revert or remove your post. I am busy living in Japan, and really don't need to be roasted. Whiny, self-important editors threaten with "I'll get your x taken away" or "you'll never make admin"... I could care less. It's happened, and I am still here.
  3. This is not your talk page, this is my talk page, and I do not allow edit wars on here. If you are a legal positivist, if the "rules" of Wikipedia in your mind overrule respect for the privacy and pages of others, or if you are a creepy Wikistalking troll, you have your own talkpage which is your own playground to do exactly what you wish. This is not it, and you are not welcome to it.
  4. If you template me for something you should be discussing first, especially if you are an edit-warring copyright cockroach, don't be surprised if I cuss you. You've earned it.
  5. Complaint against me? Be patient, my perennial wikistalker is sure to get in touch with you soon and apologize for my ill behavior. It would be funny if it were not pathetic.
  6. Friends and colleagues are most welcome, and none of the above is meant for you.

Hello Kintetsubuffalo! I wish to seek your help, I have a certain reference from the Times of India newspaper of which I can't find an e-paper version, if i scan the newspaper and put it as an image on the references section, can it be validated as a proof? Thank yo so much! Jasonprost (talk) 19:00, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

Yes, that would work. How did you find me of all people?--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 01:03, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for your help, I found you by going to the Wikipedia page of wikipedia, and looked for people who had the most contributions, for the most conditioned ones, turned out, yours had a complete directory of talk pages! I thought who's a better judge than you, plus i support free Tibet too! Jasonprost (talk) 08:17, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Collegiality[edit]

I'm not sure your edits on Talk:Koshare Indian Dancers were optimal - was there any need to be so aggressive to the other editor? Could you make sure your comments relate strictly to the content and not to the contributor in future? Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:13, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

@MSGJ:I appreciate your evenhandedness in both your response and your request here, and I'm glad you actually looked at my edits and explanations. I felt there was a need for hostility from my first overview of the other editor's recent edits, I don't normally(*disclaimer*) go in with guns blazing. There is actually a third article in the set which he tried to have speedied and which an admin wisely downgraded to prod. He ignores Wiki protocol at his whim, he tries to find quick-and-dirty workarounds in lieu of consensus (i.e. merging the articles after it had been opposed), and he is turning three other articles into soapboxes. I was admonished to cool down, I did, he's still calling for my head. He is a single-issue editor who is so attached to that issue that he fails to see his own bias. A look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/FriendlyFred shows no edit outside that narrow scope in at least the last 2500 edits, since August 26, 2015. That's all he's into, here on Wikipedia. Everyone is entitled to edit whatever they edit, but he shouldn't pretend there is not POV at work on his part. It's one thing to briefly quote a book, as the article stands now, it's entirely another to summarize the book, spoon-feed the reader, in an article that is not about that book. This article is balanced just as it is right now, and I'd like the POV tag removed. I'd like to say that I will adhere to content in future; I will do my best, as I have been doing(*disclaimer*). Anyway thanks for your cool head, g'night.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 14:50, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Neutral point of view/Noticeboard[edit]

Hello Kintetsubuffalo. You started a discussion at Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view/Noticeboard#Climate_change_denial. As usual, this has descended into a points-scoring game which is a complete waste of time. Do you want to pursue it any further or shall I ask for the discussion to be closed? Biscuittin (talk) 01:04, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

@Biscuittin: Yeah, I figured it would quickly devolve into a polemic shouting match. May as well close it and leave them to their diatribe.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 04:37, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Biscuittin (talk) 09:35, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

File:Movimiento Scout Católico.svg ‎[edit]

Hi Kintetsubuffalo. Your initial revert here was to a version of the non-free use rationale that incorrectly listed Federación de Escultismo en España as the |article= where the file was being used and was what Salavat had fixed with their edit here. I just reverted back to the last correct version of the nfur. Sorry, if that wasn't clear in the edit sum. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:00, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

Improving page to do with Marxist ERP Army in Argentina[edit]

I notice some pro-Communist Argentina editor from Spanish Wikipedia has rewritten/whitewashed the Marxist guerrilla warefare in Tucuman Province (Operativo Independencia) blaming a good percentage of the Argentine army fatalities on accidents and Red Flag incidents as is the narrative of the leftist Argentines, so I hope you can keep an eye on this page in order to add balance to history and educate neutral people. Thank you for all your work over the years. --Middleagewerewolf (talk) 23:18, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

File:1st World Scout Jamboree poster.png[edit]

Hi Kintetsubuffalo. Do you have more specific information about the source of File:1st World Scout Jamboree poster.png? You were listed as the file's source, and I think it is a good candidate for conversion to Template:PD-US-1923-abroad because its age. Anything information you can provide about the original copyright holder at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 February 10#File:1st World Scout Jamboree poster.png will be helpful. If the licensing is changed to public domain, the file would no longer be subject to WP:NFCC and could be used pretty much as desired without any restrictions (other than WP:IUP). Thanks in advance. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:08, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

WP:SCOUT camp articles[edit]

Hey there. So I may have been a bit too bold, but I went through and tagged seven different Scout camp articles for mergers that I felt were not notable. I tagged Camp Kern, Camp Bud Schiele, Goshen Scout Reservation, Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation, Musser Scout Reservation, Pioneer Scout Reservation, and Resica Falls Scout Reservation. While most have been silent, it looks like I may have hit the home camps of a few of our WP:SCOUT editors. Goshen's tag at least has gotten one editor to start working on expanding the article, however on the Talk page it's getting a little heated it seems. For Musser and Resica Falls, my tags were simply reverted based discussion from 2006. Currently our MoS is relatively silent on camp articles. Since you are an active participant of the project and haven't commented yet, I wanted to reach out to you to see your opinion. It looks like you were also involved in the discussion in 06 and that at one time there was a Project policy. Do you think it's time we try to again establish some consensus and written policy on the Project level about when to establish separate articles for camps? Deflagro Contribs/Talk 19:15, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

@User:Deflagro^I support all merges-the two that were reverted, you'd have a fight on your hands.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 01:41, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
Hah, yeah looking around at old proposed merges, it definitely looks like it'd be contested. Looking around at other non-Scouting summer camp articles, it definitely seems like some of ours are in better shape than most. I'd possibly be in favor of a MoS update that camps could be separate as long as they pass a C Class assessment or something of the like. What would you think about that? Deflagro Contribs/Talk 01:56, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
We're all friends here. --evrik (talk) 20:55, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

@Evrik-I realize that and am grateful for it, just saying as quick as those merge proposal tags were removed, I've seen how that has played out before. I would hope 10 years on things could be reviewed on their face. No acrimony here, we are indeed friends.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 01:35, 5 May 2016 (UTC)

Comment Requested[edit]

Since you recently were commenting on this article, I would appreciate your opinion in the discussion on the article talk pages Talk:Goshen Scout Reservation and the other related article Talk:National Capital Area Council. I seem to have hit a brick wall.Marauder40 (talk) 12:45, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Mormonism and polygamy template image[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you helped get the Mormonism and Polygamy template image all cleaned up. It looked great, but unfortunately the image wasn't of a polygamous family after all. You can see the gory details on the image's talk page--basically one of the people who photographed the scene sold it as a polygamous family, which is where the misunderstanding originated. I ended up replacing the image with a different one--not a family unfortunately, but a man and his two wives. If you're dissatisfied with the image, talk to me and I'll see what I can do--we have a few other images of polygamous families at BYU, but the one I chose was conveniently already in the public domain. Contests[edit]

User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:29, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
