Far Young is an American boy band. The band members are Jackson Owens,[1] Christian Wossilek,[2] and Eben Franckewitz,[3]

  • Christian Wossilek was born in Opp, Alabama on October 29, 1999.[2]
  • Eben Franckewitz was born in Brandon, Florida on June 13, 1996.[3]

Jackson Owens[edit]

Jackson Owens is from Turangi, New Zealand, and was born on November 5, 1997. Jackson was born into a musical family and competed on a singing competition called New Zealand Got Talent At age 12, he was chosen to represent New Zealand at the World Championship of Performing Arts at Los Angeles. There, he won a gold medal, two silver medals, and was named "Best Overall Boy Vocal: Junior Section 8-15 years old". He was also the opening act for "Australian Idol" winner Stan Walker on his nationwide winner's tour.[4] Now, he is now a vocalist in Far Young, chosen by Tim Coons after seeing his YouTube covers.[5]

Christian Wossilek[edit]

Christian Wossilek is from Andalusia, Alabama and was born on October 29, 1999, the youngest in the band. Christian plays many instruments including piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, and bass. When he was 11, he started singing and entered the state wide Alabama Talent Hunt.[6] He won the competition and got a 2 year recording contract and to be featured in a compilation CD with the events 10 category winners.[7] In 2013, Christian auditioned for the X Factor, after receiving 4 "yeses" from the judge panel, Christian decided to turn down the offer when he realized the other amazing deals he was offered. Then, in 2013 (like Eben), he released a single called "Maybe If.[8][9]" .

Eben Frankewitz[edit]

Eben Frankewitz is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and was born on June 13, 1996, the oldest in the band. Eben started singing at the age of 6 and competed in the 2012 American Idol.[10] Getting to the top 24 contestants, the youngest person ever to make it this far, he was eliminated after singing "Set Fire to the Rain by Adele. Then, in 2013, Eben released 2 singles - "TXT[11]" and "Let The Beat Drop".[12] Later, he performed at the Cincinnati Reds' Opening Night and starred in "Santa's Toy Factory", at the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati for the holiday musical. Soon, he was chosen to be part of Far Young.

Career[edit]

Far Young is touted to be the next "billion dollar boy band".[13] They started in 2013, created by Tim Coons, the N'SYNC and Backstreet Boys' music producer. Their "home base" is located at Orlando, Florida, where they performed at the 2014 Playlist LIVE Orlando event. They also performed at The E.G.O. Tour at the House of Blues in Hollywood, the USA National Miss in Daytona Beach, the 2014 Miss America Meet and Greet hosted by ABC Television in Orlando, CreaTour Orlando, and SocialCon in Chicago. Their EP will be released soon.[4] They made a cover of John Legend's "All of Me" and it was released on iTunes on June 24, 2014. Their first single is called "#Everything", which was released on June 24, 2014.
