Dylanh724[edit]

In response to the removal of the "See also", my link (to throneoflies.com) was 100% related. Not only is it a mafia party game, but the competitor, "Town of Salem", was directly below where my link was removed. I have followed guidelines and it appears that this must have been a misunderstanding, as Town of Salem is the exact genre (mafia party game) and product type (video game). I noticed my edit was also removed from the Town of Salem as well, indicating signs of a biased removal (I am not accusing, I assure you - this is just what it looks like from an external perspective: from someone I know that told me it was removed after just seeing it - that is, you removed two related mafia party game links of the same product type when a duplicate product/type still exists/was not removed, directly below my link). Thank you for looking into this to confirm validity of my former post with the request to restore it. Sorry for the trouble, cheers Dylanh724 (talk) 09:19, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

John Shuttleworth "Other media: trim retail information and primary-sourced speculation"[edit]

Hi McGeddon,

For what it's worth I know first-hand that the John_Shuttleworth_(character) satnav voice will be released; I spent long enough editing the 59 sound files that go to make it and which Graham Fellows provided, getting the package 100% ready to go. AFAIK, it's still being tweaked and / or awaiting upload to the web site before being released, but I don't agree with the text "was planned" in the line "A John Shuttleworth voice was also planned." as it wasn't just planned; it has actually been produced. I am not going to revert the edit or anything as drastic, but should it go up on John's web site or be made available by other means, I'll come back and consider updating the article again.

Out of interest, what I would like to ask is what is your recommendation of "proving" or providing a citation when you only have email correspondence, or direct verbal contact with the article's subject for example? I have read up on the subject in the help pages, but haven't been able to find any clear guidelines (I expect I've overlooked them). Should you not use such information in articles until there is another type of citation proof available?

Thanks for any input.

Regards

My apologies for disturbing, but...[edit]

Would it be possible for you to rename this page to "Notable opinion polling and analysis about Islamic extremism and similar epithets by country" or "Notable opinion polling and analysis about Islam", or something similar, instead? These titles seem more neutral, and less controversial. Thanks in advance for any help. David A (talk) 19:24, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

Susan Penhaligon[edit]

I reinstated the changes as I believe it usefully completed an article that had early years but nothing on later years. The material was sourced to a reliable newspaper, Daily Telegraph, which was quoted. I saw no reason for the deletion of my additions and so reinstated them. I could not see any box to state the reason why I believed they should be reinstated. As a chartered accountant, most of my Wiki submissions have been to update material about tax, which has proved uncontroversial. So I have little experience of dealing with disputatious matters. There is no point in arguing about this matter. If you want this entry to be incomplete, I have no reason to fight the issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.141.111.228 (talk) 09:07, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

about Danpyunsun and the Sailors article[edit]

Hi, I really thank you about your helpful comments. I accepted your comments so, I did something.
1. I removed links like an advertisement, inappropriateness, promotional contents and wrote from a neutral point of view.
2. I added secondary source like The Korea Herald article, JoongAng Ilbo article.
3. To Compare Danpyunsun and the Sailors with other Korean musician's article. This article is neutral, has no commercial contents.
Is it good? I want to know what Danpyunsun and the Sailors articles need. That article also has Korean wiki page 단편선과 선원들.

Information icon Hello, I'm Stesmo. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of List of Google easter eggs. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. The redirection of "Hot-Stoppers"[edit]

The article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot-Stopper was redirected to "Cup Lids" as it is believed that I (The editor) have an affiliation with the Hello Internet Podcast, CGPGrey or Brady Haran. This is in fact not true. I do not know these people nor am I in any way a friend with, family to, financially connected, sponsored, employed, a guest to their shows, or affiliated with these people or their companies/productions. I would like to appeal for the redirect to be reverted back to the article it previously was. Thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JVpants (talk • contribs) 12:14, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

How to fix the article "RisK Gaming"?[edit]

Could you help with the article RisK Gaming? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RisK Gaming (talk • contribs) 17:48, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @RisK Gaming: Wikipedia only includes topics that are notable, as evidenced by having received significant coverage in reliable, third-party sources. As your article fails these requirements, it will not be retained unless you can provide sources that show your group meets the necessary notability criteria. --Drm310 (talk) 18:54, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Fashion Week Calendar[edit]

Hi there:

Could you please let me know where I can find the complete fashion week calendar (not just the dates)? Because as far as I know, only FashionWeekOnline.com has this. But maybe you can help me out. Modeamad (talk) 18:17, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Excuse me[edit]

Kindly don't cite me for adding "spam" links or references, as:

a) The references to Fashion Week Online were made well before you and 2 other editors essentially decided a popular industry website was "non-notable" (in spite of numerous citations online from reliable sources)

b) The references were valid

Interactive and Easter egg (media)[edit]

Regarding this, is the article lead image interactive? After reading Interactivity to find out, I felt confusion, disorientation, slight nausea, loss of appetite, blurred vision, and dizziness. Of course, that could have been the cobalt 60 tea I was just drinking. Delicious stuff though somewhat silvery for some reason. Seriously, can an image be interactive? Thanks[edit]

Thank you for all your work at WP:PNT. I don't go there very much because I can only translate French and Hungarian and very few of those come up there so I keep an eye but not a lot is in my ambit. I can translate Spanish or Italian or Latin or Roma because they are latinate languaes, and sometimes I do because that then gives the people at PNT a chance at a very rough draft to decide whether something is worth keeping or deleting. (I am not brilliant but better than Google Translate.)

However when called I will answer, as I was this morning. A sincere thank you, that 's how we make the encylopaedia better. Si Trew (talk) 04:32, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Just as an aside, I suspect this is your real surname as indeed mine is. I imagine you are as bored of hearing Armageddon as I am at hearing "Is it true"? Not the end of the world well Amageddon is, but it just gets boring, everybody thinks they are the first person ever to think of it. As a twin I was told in school with my brother oh there is a pair of trews and my eyes rolled even then. We were treated very individually and he has gone on to be a great success and I am, er, stuck here editing Wikipedia. So we are different people. Si Trew (talk) 04:37, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Feed manufacturing[edit]

I have reverted your redirect on Feed manufacturing. This article is too detailed and lengthy to be included as a section in another article. Central Theatre Title[edit]

Hello Mcgeddon,

First off I want to thank you for helping organise my first article Central Theatre (Passaic). However, I wanted to ask if you could please rename my article to the way it was. I titled the article Central Theatre (Passaic), because the other central theatres'Jasonritter7 (talk) 23:51, 6 May 2016 (UTC) listed have their city of location in parentheses. The page is now harder to find if you are searching for a page on the specific one. If you could please change the article title back to "Central Theatre (Passaic)".

Thanks, Jason

User Bromley86[edit]

Hi, I write to you this message because I'm discussing in Iran talk page, where Bromley86 removes related references regardless of discussion page. This user also has denied several references that I offered in discussion to achieve his purposes regardless of my explanations . If you're an admin in wikipedia, please prevent such behaviours. Thanks Aidepikiwnirotide (talk) 11:13, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

I'd also welcome your input. I'd also suggest that it is Aidepikiwnirotide who is refusing to discuss, but then I would. If you do want to get involved, the section is Talk:Iran#AKA_Persia_refs. The 4 old references are dealt with there (these are the ones that I initially removed), and a new one that Aidepikiwnirotide has added is mentioned in the Talk:Iran#Name_order (search for "I wonder why you think that there is no justification!" to see the discussion and the book link). Cheers, Bromley86 (talk) 11:51, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

@Aidepikiwnirotide and Bromley86:: it looks like you've formally raised this at WP:3O, since, which was the best thing to do - I'll leave it for an entirely uninvolved editor to drop by the talk page. --McGeddon (talk) 17:24, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

Venice edit[edit]

Hi McGeddon, while I can understand that the entry about the shop could be viewed as promotional even if it was about a very local home-brew brand that is branching worldwide I don't understand the edit about Tiramisù especially because only few lines above Prosecco is listed as a venetian wine while is from an area north of Treviso. If you come to Venice you will find that Tiramisù is the most popular between the local sweet regardless the fact of its origins in Treviso. Emanuele Dal Carlo 15:28, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi again and thank you for your quick feedback. Do you Think that a shorter sentence, few words, about the shop could be considered not promotional given the fact the place has really become a must visit place for most tourists? Antony Gormley[edit]

Ah, your argument concerning the Churchill Award is about their notability, not about the factuality of whether Gormley received one or not, therefore your deletion of the information based on a primary sources argument really doesn't fly. If you're not questioning the factuality of the information, it doesn't matter that it came from a primary source (which are not disallowed, by the way, see WP:Primary). I'm not sure why you're so hot about this: if your AfD goes through, and the Churchill Awards is deleted, then you're not going to get any argument from me about deleting it, so why not just wait to see what happens?
