Where is the dispute?[edit]
User watchmaker (me) created the AWCI page in February 2006. Recently, the other three parties listed above have begun to make edits to the page that reflect a personal agenda that is not accurate or reflective of what AWCI is all about. I made one attempt to undo their changes, but that was reversed by Time-further-out. I do not know the other user.

User watchmaker (me) created the AWCI page in February 2006. Recently, the other three parties listed above have begun to make edits to the page that reflect a personal agenda that is not accurate or reflective of what AWCI is all about. I made one attempt to undo their changes, but that was reversed by Time-further-out. I do not know the other users. I have reason to believe that these edits are a continuation of a campaign against policies and actions taken by AWCI with which certain persons do not agree.
What would you like to change about this?[edit]
I would like for permission to edit the AWCI page be denied to these three users. The statement made by Time-further-out that "User "watchmaker" is affiliated with AWCI and edits are not accurate." is simply untrue. In fact, it would seem to reason that an employee of AWCI would have complete access to information that would allow for a very accurate page. I am able to document a lengthy history of this particular user and his attempts to smear and misrepresent our entity, to the detriment of our members. Time-further-out also has a very narrow personal agenda that is made quite evident in his focus on repair of vintage watches on the AWCI page.
How do you think we can help?[edit]
As noted above, I would like for these three users to be denied permission to edit this page. I am unsure how effective this process is going to be if you will not "take sides", but I am confident that the information that I had listed on the AWCI page matches up well with the information on our own web site at www.awci.com. The same can not be said about the most recent edits made by these other three users. What can be said about their edits is that it matches precisely with their own personal agendas that don't happen to mesh with our publicly stated purposes. To put it bluntly, what I hope to avoid is yet another pissing match between us and them, and we are on the brink of doing that here on wikipedia.

- Mediation can't result in a topic ban unless the user voluntarily agrees to be banned from the topic.
- I remind all involved to review the information at WP:COI, and WP:OWN
- Mediation discussion will continue on the talk page associated with this this mediation case page, not on the article talk page.
- In a case like this, a WP:CHECKUSER may be in order for timeinabottle time-further-out and the IP address if they are suspected to be the same person. Using multiple accounts to push a point of view is forbidden. I will file this checkuser request in order to establish whether the accounts are related or not.
- Watchmater, on the talk page for this page, please post more specific information about the disputed facts. It seems to be related to the relationship between AWCI and industry?
