This page has been removed from search engines' indexes.
All contributors with no history of copyright problems are welcome to contribute to clean up.
If contributors have been shown to have a history of extensive copyright violation, it may be assumed without further evidence that all of their major contributions are copyright violations, and they may be removed indiscriminately in accordance with Wikipedia:Copyright violations. However, to avoid collateral damage, efforts should be made when possible to verify infringement before removal.
When every section is completed, please alter the listing for this CCI at Wikipedia:CCI#Open_investigations to include the tag "completed=yes". This will alert a clerk that the listing needs to be archived.
{{CCI-open|Contributor name|Day Month Year|completed=yes}}
- Examine the article or the diffs linked below.
- If the contributor has added creative content, either evaluate it carefully for copyright concerns or remove it.
- If you remove text presumptively, place
{{subst:CCI|name=Contributor name}}
on the article's talk page.
- If you specifically locate infringement and remove it (or revert to a previous clean version), place
{{subst:cclean}}
on the article's talk page. The url parameter may be optionally used to indicate source.
- If there is insufficient creative content on the page for it to survive the removal of the text or it is impossible to extricate from subsequent improvements, replace it with
{{subst:copyvio}}
, linking to the investigation subpage in the url parameter. List the article as instructed at the copyright problems board, but you do not need to notify the contributor. Your note on the CCI investigation page serves that purpose.
- To tag an article created by the contributor for presumptive deletion, place
{{subst:copyvio|url=see talk}}
on the article's face and {{subst:CCId|name=Contributor name}}
on the article's talk page. List the article as instructed at the copyright problems board, but you do not need to notify the contributor.
- After examining an article:
- replace the diffs after the colon on the listing with indication of whether problem was found (add {{y}}) or not (add {{n}}). If the article is blanked and may be deleted, please indicate as much after the {{y}}.
- Follow with your username and the time to indicate to others that the article has been evaluated and appropriately addressed. This is automatically generated by four tildes (~~~~)
- If a section is complete, consider collapsing it by placing {{collapse top}} and {{collapse bottom}} beneath the section header and after the final listing.

[2] "According to a Fox News columnist, a fundraising event was hosted by Jackson and Boteach at Carnegie Hall on Feb. 14, 2001. That event was supposed to be raising money for the Jackson/Boteach charity, but the subsequent tax filing shows no money was given to children or any charitable causes at all. What it does show is a total of $203,185 collected from direct public support. At the same time, the charity's expenses totaled $259,432. All but $20,000 of that was spent on staff salaries and office expenses."

I left him a warning about the Carnegie Hall copyvio; [3]. He replied that he would avoid doing it again.
However, only a few hours later, on a different article, [4] "The $6.5 million Manhattan townhouse where Pinto lives, which is owned by Mosdot Shuva Israel, faces foreclosure ... Mosdot Shuva Israel has not responded to or paid a $48,000 judgment against it for failure to obtain workers’ compensation insurance ..."

"The $6.5 million Manhattan townhouse where Pinto lives, which is owned by Mosdot Shuva Israel, faces foreclosure" and the next bullet point in their article is "Mosdot Shuva Israel has not responded to or paid a $48,000 judgment against it for failure to obtain workers’ compensation insurance".

I raised this Manhattan copyvio on his talk page and said: "This is a copyright infringement. Do you understand why?" He replied: "No. I dont ? How do you make it clear but not give fact facts ?"
These edits may be a genuine good faith misunderstanding of copyright policy, but the situation is exacerbated by this user's tendency when criticised, to agree with the criticism but not actually change his editing behaviour. I am filing this CCI request because so many of the user's contributions to articles follow the same pattern above of copy and pasting sections of a source. There follow two further examples (which probably predate the above three examples and the warning);
[5] "He was an early leader of the STUDENT STRUGGLE FOR SOVIET JEWRY (SSSJ), which was founded in 1964, and one of the the first American national movements working to free Russian Jews. Its combination of imaginative demonstrations, Congressional lobbying, and information dissemination helped generate the wave of international public pressure which ultimately forced open the gates of the Kremlin to mass emigration and the release of refuseniks and Prisoners of Conscience. A grassroots effort, SSSJ became a unifying factor among the diverse streams of American Jewry, and continually challenged the Jewish Establishment to act with greater vigor on behalf of its Russian brethren."

[6] "Another venture is the marketing of surgical procedures in Israel to wealthy residents of Russia and neighboring countries, otherwise known as "medical tourism". His company serves as mediators between people who are seeking surgical treatments in Israel, and Israeli hospitals. Lanir's main partner is Sheba Medical Center Tel Hashomer, and he has similar partnerships with Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, and Wolfson Hospital in Holon. Lanir reportedly has a revenue sharing deal with Sheba Medical Center; his share is 20%. The collaboration reportedly generates tens of millions of dollars in revenue - at least $80-90 million - giving Lanir a cash flow of at least $20 million (a quarterly cash flow of up to $2 million)."

In the interests of full disclosure - I have something of a history with this user, as I commented extensively at the SPI and elsewhere after having previously been asked on my talk page to assist with issues concerning his edits raised at WP:BLPN. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 08:28, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
