Visitors to the Bahamas must obtain an e-Visa unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries.

Visa exemption[edit]
Holders of passports of the following countries and territories may enter the Bahamas without a visa for 3 months (unless otherwise noted):[1][2][3]

1 – 8 months for citizens of Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, 3 months for other citizens.
2 - 8 months.
3 – 8 months, 3 months for U.S. citizens or nationals residing in Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
4 - including permanent resident card holders who are visa-exempt for a maximum of 30 days.
- Visa not required for permanent residents of Canada or the United States.[4]
- Cruise ship passengers travelling to and returning from the Bahamas do not require to obtain visa for entry. Both entry and departure must be by a cruise ship.[5]
Non-ordinary passports[edit]
Holders of diplomatic, official or service passports of Cuba and holders of diplomatic or official passports of Haiti may enter the Bahamas without a visa.

The Bahamas has signed visa exemption agreements with the following countries, but they have not yet been ratified:

Visa on arrival[edit]
Citizens of India with visa issued by any member state of Schengen Area, Canada, the United Kingdom or the United States may obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 90 days.
Electronic Visa (e-Visa)[edit]
Citizens of other countries must obtain an e-Visa.[7]
