From the Editor

Help is needed for the job of putting future Newsletters together. The present incumbent is finding it difficult to reflect the breadth of the Project, focusing on much the same individuals and articles each month, and has decided to beg for contributions from other individuals. Interested persons need only start working on next months issue to qualify. It really is that simple!

If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject Microsoft. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!

Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!

Hi Qwerty, you recently requested that Pirate be protected at requests for page protection, but the article hasn't been edited in 5 years, let alone vandalised. Did you mean to request protection for a different page? Sam Walton (talk) 21:27, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

Samwalton9, my bad for going to the wrong page to request page protection. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 22:43, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
Did you mean Piracy per this edit? (pinging Samwalton9 for follow-up). Stlwart111 03:38, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
Yes. I was just being stupid and lazy. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 03:42, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
Lazy for saying "pirate" and not the correct direct-direct article. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 03:44, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
That's okay, but only page watchers will see that edit. You need to head over to to WP:RFPP to ask the admins there. Stlwart111 03:53, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 15

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Life of Pi (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digest. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Interview for The Signpost

This is being sent to you as a member of WikiProject Microsoft

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Microsoft for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Thanks, Rcsprinter123 (notify) @ 17:05, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
