Are you talking about an edit summary? It's nice to include one so we know what you've changed and why. But you should be bold and not reckless when editing pages. Inevitably some of your edits will be reverted. It's just to make the article better. But, if you're going to add/remove a lot of sourced content, you should mention it and get feedback first on the article's talk page (get help here).

Remember that if someone reverts your edit(s), it's not an attack on you. It just means they think the edit isn't constructive or useful. Hey @178.120.10.249:, I apologize for not fixing the other section you've edited. However, I do know enough about linguistics to know that Kanji and Hanzi are different concepts, so I was clarifying it in the article. Again, apologies for not fixing the other section.
