Review coming soon. Damien Linnane (talk) 00:44, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article makes frequent use of the term 'movie' (i.e "allowed the movie to be shown"). It's my understanding the accepted term for use on Wikipedia is actually 'film'.
  • I think that both words are allowed to the best of my knowledge, particularly since it would get rather repetitive to use "film" all of the time. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd merge the first two sentences in the plot. I,e "Joanna, a writer, and Michael Reed, a commercial real estate agent, are a married couple who share an apartment in New York City". Up to you though.
  • Thank you for the suggestion! I have used it in the article. It is much better, as for some reason, I struggled particularly with this sentence. Maybe it was just because it was the opening. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Joanna and Alex have a passionate farewell" - it might be worth clarifying somehow whether this passionate farewell is sexual or not.
  • I've never seen a cast section referenced before. That's not a problem, I just thought I'd mention it as these sections do not require sources.
  • I was uncertain about it, but I sourced it just to make it clear who is considered part of the main cast and to avoid any minor characters or extras being added in if that makes sense. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's an image with the caption "Parts of Last Night were filmed in SoHo, Manhattan." Is this picture of a filming location? If so, clarify that. If not, i'd say it's not worth including.
  • Removed. It is not from the film set itself so I agree that it is not helpful for this article. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Golden Marc'Aurelio Award." - this needs a brief clarification as there's no wikilink. What is the award for?
  • From the source, it seems like a film award given out as part of the Rome Film Festival. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Tadjedin and Deming received nominations for Camerimage awards" - what were these awards for exactly?
  • Clarified this hopefully. Let me know if it needs more. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • "leaving some to ask "Who cares?" - this direct quote is followed by three sources, only one of which explicitly says "who cares". Modify either the wording or citation placement. Perhaps clarify that three sources did no think the plot was worth caring about, and one explicitly said "who cares"?
  • "and criticized the sequences in which Joanna does chores around the apartment" - this could use context. Why was it criticised? Gender stereotyping? Or just not interesting?
  • Revised. It was more that they found the scenes to be uninteresting. Aoba47 (talk) 10:50, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Great work overall. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 02:37, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for the review! I believe that I have addressed everything. I would ideally like to bring this through the FAC process, though I would need do a thorough copy-edit of it on my own first (and possibly a peer review). I hope you are having a wonderful start to your year. This film is definitely not for everyone, but I actually quite enjoyed its focus on a more naturalistic story and acting. Maybe it is just because I am more used to more stylistic or melodramatic works (particularly when it comes to infidelity). Thank you again; I greatly appreciate your help!
