Before 1941 'spoken language' (not mother tongue) was the 'nationality' in the Kingdom of Hungary. Now nearly 100% of the population use Hungarian in every day (only Hungarian is official), but that's not equal to nationality. See nationality section.--Rovibroni (talk) 15:26, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why are under the 'Ethnicities' section listed all ethnic groups, except the Jewish people? -L. Woititz (talk) 18:16, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jews are not an ethnic group in Hungary, just a religious group, there are 13 official nationalities or ethnic groups in Hungary ("nemzeti és etnikai kisebbségek"), Jews are not part of official 13. There is a "Jewish" category in the nationalities and ethnicities section of 2001 Hungarian census (but in 2011 census no longer, just the official 13) but majority of Hungarian Jews don't determine themselves as an ethnic group (there were just 701 "ethnic Jewish" people all of Hungary and 12 861 "Israelites" [not ethnic, just religious Jews] in 2001). See Neolog Judaism.--Rovibroni (talk) 21:09, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnic groups[edit]

Please fix the last block of text in the ethnicities. It's just funny claiming that 1% of people are hungarian are 80% identify as a random number. 94.21.193.187 (talk) 16:18, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
