Katawa is a populated township in Northern Region, Malawi.[1][2][3][4] It is located in the Northern Region of the Mzuzu. Its neighbourhood include Luwinga, Mchengautuba, Chiwavi and Chibanja.[1][5] It is home to the Malawi's gospel singers, the Katawa Singers.[6][7][8]

Katawa is located North-West of Mzuzu city.[9]

History[edit]

Kataba got its name from White birds that inhabited the area.
