Summary

Description
English: St Ninian's Chapel, Tynet. In the 18th century, the Enzie district remained staunchly Roman Catholic despite official persecution. In 1755 the local laird handed over this modest building, which he had built claiming it was intended for sheep, for the Roman Catholic congregation to use as a chapel. It was the first post-Reformation Roman Catholic Church in Scotland.
