Nederlands: Het zuidelijk uiteinde van de Meerburger Watering met jachthaven "De Merenburger" te Stompwijk. Deze brede sloot is een boezemwater en vormt de grens tussen een aantal polders bij Stompwijk (gemeente Leidschendam-Voorburg); hij bestaat al minstens 400 jaar. De Meerburger Watering loopt voor een groot deel pal langs Rijksweg A4 (links zichtbaar) en eindigt in de Oude Rijn bij Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk.
English: The southern end of the Meerburger Watering (Meerburger canal) with its little harbour/marina "De Merenburger" at Stompwijk (municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg, Netherlands). This broad ditch forms the boundary between a number of polders in Stompwijk and already exists for at least 400 years. The Meerburger Watering runs directly parallel to Motorway A4 (seen left) for the major part of its length. It terminates into the Old Rhine at Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk. |
