Ravikumar M is an Indian film editor, who works predominantly in Tamil films. He was introduced to cinema through Kannada drama film Ayana (2017), Later he collaborated with director Vasanthabalan in Tamil films. Broken Image (2015), Aneethi (2023), Demon (2023) are some of his notable works.

Career[edit]

Ravikumar studied a degree in literature at Loyola College of Education, Chennai, but found himself unsure of a career path once he has finished his education. Following suggestions from his friends, he began learning about editing and completed the course at Prasad Studios. He, thereafter, received offers to work on corporate ads and documentaries from 1993 for Edit Point and continued to work in the same practice. He then began to work on editing songs in films occasionally, also gaining experience by editing tele-films.

He worked as an associated with leading Tamil movie editors including Raymond Derrick Crasta, where got a chance to work director Vasanthabalan, who got impressed with his work for that movie and he asked him to sign on as the film's editor to his movie Aneethi.
