Jacques N. Bonjawo[edit]

Jacques N. Bonjawo is a Cameroonian scientist and entrepreneur who has played a significant role in both the tech industry and African development. Born in Yaounde in 1960, Bonjawo began his career in IT after completing his studies in France and the United States. He gained recognition for his nearly decade-long tenure as a senior manager at Microsoft's headquarters.

Beyond Microsoft, Bonjawo is a passionate advocate for using technology to empower Africa. He has founded several startups focused on digital training and development, and participated in the African Virtual University project leaded by the World Bank, an initiative to expand educational access. In 1997, Bonjawo joined Microsoft and held a senior management position for nearly a decade. He played a key role in the company's internet division, particularly with MSN.

Following his time at Microsoft, Bonjawo established Genesis Futuristic Technologies, an information technology company focused on Africa and India. He is also the founder and chairman of Genesis Telecare, a telemedicine company bringing healthcare solutions to Cameroon.

Bonjawo remains active in the technology sphere, founding startups focused on digital training and fostering entrepreneurship in Africa. He has also authored books exploring the potential of Artificial Intelligence for the continent.
