Situated in the blissful and peaceful environment of Mira Road is the Royal College of Science, Arts and Commerce. Popularly know as Royal College, it is very famous amongst the student and parents community of Mumbai. Royal College is a part of the Royal Society, which was founded on 28th December 1966 by Prof. Asgar E. Lakdawala, who, though a poor S.S.C. student at that time, was earnestly striving to achieve his noble goals.

The motto of the Royal Society was that the message of education has to be taken to the remotest part of the city and to the poorest and most backward tract. Over the years, since the inception in 1966, the society has strived hard to provide at least the basic needs of education so that the underprivileged class of students can also take necessary education without an extra burden on the day-to-day expenses of their poor parents. Every year, more than 3000 needy students are benefited by the various schemes provided by the Royal Society. Royal College is truly committed in creating true and honest citizens who would truly shape India's future.

Some of the highlights of the Royal College are:

1) Prayer: - Each session (morning and afternoon) begins with prayer. A secular prayer song is relayed on the public address system, with the objective of inculcating a sense of spirituality in the hearts and minds of the students.

2) Discipline: - The college is well known for its strict discipline, dress code and attendance. These rules are basically laid down for the benefit of students and demand complete sincerity and devotion from all earnest pupils, seeking knowledge in the institution

3) Academic Excellence: - The college results at HSC and TY degree examinations are near 100% in all the years, since the inception of the college. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the founder, excellent coaching from the committed teachers and of course sincere and hard work put up by the diligent students

4) Newsletters & Magazine : - PARVAAZ our college magazine is published once in a year. Students from Arts, Science and Commerce streams publish on a regular basis, magazines viz Advent, Horizon, Celerity, I.T.Buzzer, Mathemagic, Edge-u-cator, Mirodyssey respectively, solely designed by the students and strongly supported and guided by the teachers, who ensures perfection and quality.

5) Personality development programmes: - The College conducts public speaking courses, first aid training & Yoga classes for the students every year, at a highly subsidised rate.

6) Counselling: - The students are provided with the facility of professional counselling, through out the academic year.
