Replay Basketball is a tabletop simulation of professional basketball, issued by Replay Publishing of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. The game was created by Dave Loparco of Riverside, Connecticut, and Pete Ventura, the owner of Replay Publishing. The game's first edition was a Great Teams Set, issued in August 2003. Teams issued were the 1952-53 Minneapolis Lakers, 1957-58 St. Louis Hawks, 1964-65 Boston Celtics, 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers, 1968-69 Baltimore Bullets, 1969-70 New York Knicks, 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks, 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers, 1972-73 Boston Celtics, 1973-74 Chicago Bulls, 1974-75 Buffalo Braves, 1974-75 Golden State Warriors, 1976-77 Portland Trail Blazers, 1977-78 Washington Bullets, 1978-79 Seattle Supersonics, and 1982-83 Philadelphia 76ers.
New player card sets were issued for the 2002-03, 2003-04, 2004-05, and 2005-06 NBA seasons. In addition, "Classic" player card sets were issued for the 1985-86 season, and a second Great Teams Set was also recently issued, which included four teams from the American Basketball Association. A second "Classic" season set, 1970-71, is due to be released in March 2007.
