Template:In-universe/Warhammer 40,000 Lord Mazdamundi is a fictional character in Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy wargame.

Lord Mazdamundi is one of 5 remaining Slann of the Second Generation, arguably the most ancient and powerful living being (Some may debate that the Venerable Lord Kroak is more powerful, but he is an animated corpse and technically not alive) in the Warhammer world.

Mazdamundi presides over the Lizardmen temple-city of Hexoatl, located at the northern tip of Lustria, the first bastion of defense against Dark Elven invasions from the north. Mazdamundi has successfully thwarted all attacks on the temple-city, including the first massive invasion following the coming of Chaos.

When called to battle, which is thankfully rare, Mazdamundi rides upon the back of a giant Stegadon named S'laq, a beast he controls through sheer force of will.

Like all Slann, Mazdamundi is a powerful wizard, able to bend the winds of magic to his whims. Being of the Second Generation, however, Mazdamundi's powers far outstrip even those of other Slann. Mazdamundi's focus is on geomancy, and he is easily the foremost practitioner of this rare and difficult lore today. It is said that he learned from the Old One Tepok himself. On the battlefield, Mazdamundi's fearsome geomantic powers can destroy dozens of foes at once.

In the year -1500 of the Imperial Calendar, the Dwarven Holds along the World's Edge Mountains were wracked by massive earthquakes, resulting in the decimation of the Dwarven empire, a blow that sent the Dwarven Empire into decline for thousands of years. Although this fact is not known to the Dwarves, these earthquakes were caused by Mazdamundi, and are but one example of his unparalleled control of geomancy.

After a Dark Elf raid sacked a ruined temple city of artifacts, Lord Mazdamundi lead an army to Naggoroth and was the first and only living being to successfully sack the city and returning home victorious, he raised a mountain behind his forces to cut off any pursuit and effectively cut Lustria off from land invasions from Naggarond.
