Cannabis Indica

Tamil cinema, popularly known as Kollywood, is the filmmaking industry based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The films are made primarily in Tamil language.

Haridas was the first Tamil film to be nationally distributed across India in 1944. Dasavathaaram was the first Tamil film as well as the first South Indian film to gross ₹200 crore worldwide in 2008 (equivalent to ₹552.17 crore in 2023).
