The Andromedan Invaders Vs. The SFU Milky Way Galaxy
In the fictional Star Fleet Universe, the Andromedan invasion of the Milky Way galaxy was launched in Y188, having established a foothold in the Small Magellanic Cloud, built up their logistical network in the Milky Way Galaxy and carried out several raids on Galactic races.
The Andromedans had technology unlike that in the Milky Way, and quickly overpowered the Interstellar Concordium fleets 'pacifying' the other races in the Alpha Octant (They were unable to conquer the ISC itself, though they made considerable inroads into Concordium territory).
The other races in the Alpha octant were able to hold out, to a greater or lesser extent - except for the Lyran Democratic Republic - against the invaders, as well as gradually destroy the Andromedan infrastructure in the octant. (The Omega Octant races were facing oblivion, while the fate of presumed Andromedan attacks on other regions of the galaxy, not least against the formidable Xorkaelian Empire, remains as yet unknown). In Operation Unity of Y201-2, an assault on the Andromedan base in the Lesser Magellanic cluster led to the end of the invasion.
