Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Maharashtra|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Maharashtra. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

• Delete per WP:NPOLITICIAN; subject does not appear to be a politician or judge who has held "international, national, or state/province–wide office", nor has he been a member of a legislative body at that level. Fails secondary criteria of receiving significant coverage as a local politician as well; searching his name yields almost nothing except a few articles merely stating he was elected (and later expelled from his own party), but nothing remotely approaching WP:SIGCOV.

Since this was dePRODed, I am creating an AfD. In my opinion, the article does not meet guidelines for WP:NOTABILITY. It is just a WP:ROTM service. The article seems WP:INDISCRIMINATEly created and more suited to a rail information website.

• Delete all The first two articles are extensions of named trains however the titles are not reasonable search terms as they are made up by the author "[TERMINAL A] - [TERMINAL B] [TRAIN NAME]" and not used by any official or reliable sources, so a redirect wouldn't be appropriate. The content in the articles are mainly a reproduction of the timetable or WP:OR which is either unsuitable for article space entirely or would not require keeping redirects for attribution since its a copy of a different source. • Delete fails GNG. One trivial mention in this journal (with the same text as this book). Nothing else. Although weirdly a mention apparently appears in The Wikipedia Revolution (Andrew Lih, 2009) but the contents are unavailable on Google Books so I'm not sure why.
