My Userboxes

It would be really great if someone would invent a new Internet with the specific purpose of not making money off of it, but making it what it originally was, a free marketplace of ideas, and there are still aspects of the Internet that are that. Wikipedia, essentially, is still the bastion of the original ideals of the Internet.
Hello! I go by the username k6ka (/ˈkeɪˈsɪksˈkeɪˈeɪ/ ) on much of the Internet, and k6 is the "short form" for my already-pretty-short username. The odd username comes from a time when I was less mature and (apparently) quite unimaginative. I am 26 years old, and currently attend Ryerson University.
My work on Wikipedia is mostly related to maintenance, such as (but not limited to) reverting vandalism, cleaning up test edits, responding to edit requests, and renaming users. The work can get tedious at times, but it has to be done. I'm always happy to see WikiLove on my talk page as a 'Thank you' for the work — I really appreciate it!
I admit that I haven't done an awful lot of article writing on Wikipedia, as I've mostly focused on the maintenance and "behind-the-scenes" aspects of the website. I don't view that as some sort of a "wrong", because at the end of the day, I am still helping the project in some way or another. I am a firm believer that, since Wikipedia is a volunteer project, all users should choose what they want to do. If you want to write content, do that. If you want to copyedit content, do that. If you want to revert vandalism, do that. If you want to clear out maintenance backlogs, do that.
I don't think anyone is diminishing the importance of content creation. Administrative tools and content creation should be kept very separate. The sentence "I don't believe that content creation is an important part of adminship" is not an attack on content creators, I think it is pointing out that content creation is not part of the job. I don't think that "content creation" is a part of "admin work" at all. Content creation is something handled by all editors, and administrative work is something else entirely.

I am an administrator on the English Wikipedia. I also have rollback on the Simple English Wikipedia, and I am a global renamer on Meta. I'm open to the recall of my administrator tools; see User:K6ka/Adminship recall criteria.
My global account information can be found here.
If you need to contact me, you can do so publicly on my talk page, or if it is a private matter that should not be seen by the public, you can email me. I am not, however, obliged to respond to your email. You can also find me on the freenode IRC network in the channels ##k6ka connect and #wikipedia-en connect with the nickname k6ka
— keep in mind that I use an IRC bouncer, so I'll appear to be connected even when I'm not online.
If I reverted one of your edits and you are not sure why, see User:K6ka/Why did you revert my edit?.
If I declined your request for a new username, see User:K6ka/Why didn't you rename me?.

Reversing an administrator action that I made
Any administrator is free to reverse any action that I made with the administrator tools without consulting me beforehand, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
I am aware that reversals of these reversals may constitute wheel warring.
Other Stuff
- I don't upload too much, but I do watch a strange assortment of videos on YouTube.
- I've been writing since I was a kid, but it wasn't until recently that I really truly got serious about writing. I'm looking for critics that can review my work and give me some feedback, as I'm always trying to improve. If you think you're a good critic, or if you just wanna read what I have so far, check out my Wattpad page here.
- I have a number of photos on Flickr. They're all CC-BY-SA, so if you think they look good enough to go on Commons, go ahead and upload them.
- I'm also active on Wikia, and I'm currently an administrator and bureaucrat on both The Last Stand Wiki and The Sims Wiki.
Anything to declare?
I have two alternate accounts. One is K6kaBOT, a doppelgänger account that is not currently used for editing. The other is K6ka (alt), an account that I plan to use if I need to log in from insecure WiFi networks.
The following accounts also belong to me:
- K6kaBOT, a doppelgänger account that is not currently used for editing (But reserved for the highly unlikely future if I so choose to run a bot here).
- K6ka (alt), an account used when I need to log in from insecure WiFi networks, or if I edit from my mobile phone.
- Enoch Leung, an account registered to prevent impersonation.
There's a gal on Twitter with the username "@K6Ka". Is this you?
No.
Let me just clarify...
NO
My real Twitter handle is @k6ka1.
