Some Wikipedians have formed a Project to better organize information in articles related to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and its Eastern European satellite states. It attempts to coordinate collaborative writing efforts, organize and create standards for making good articles. It endeavours to create a good reference for socialism in unbiased terms. If you want to join, simply help out and add your name to the list of participants.
Scope
WikiProject Soviet Union seeks to improve Wikipedia's articles on all aspects of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. This includes coverage of Soviet politicians and state ideology, as well as history and warfare, the Communist Party and the effects of communism in the USSR. It also seeks to improve Wikipedia articles on political and economic subjects that are sorely lacking in analysis of how government policies negatively effect society, using reliably sourced material from Soviet-oriented academics and experts, as well as relevant material published in mainstream sources.
