UFC Fight Night: Swick vs. Burkman[1] (also known as UFC Fight Night 12) was a mixed martial arts (MMA) event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on January 23, 2008, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.[2]

Background[edit]

The main event featured former The Ultimate Fighter contestants Mike Swick and Josh Burkman in a welterweight matchup.[3] This event was Swick's debut at welterweight, as he had been competing at middleweight prior to the show.[3]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
