Siegfried Heinrich Aronhold (16 July 1819 – 13 March 1884) was a German mathematician who worked on invariant theory and introduced the symbolic method. He was born in Angerburg, East Prussia, and died, aged 64, in Berlin, Germany.

While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
