Salento is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy.

History

Salento Cilento become known as "The Poetry Village" founded by the Italian poet Menotti Lerro in 2018 after he established there the Cilento Poetry Prize financed by Italian Ministry of Culture for 140.500 Euro in 2022 to let the Prize become International.[3] "The Poetry Village" is characterized for the ceramic tiles with unpublished poems dedicated to the Cilento territory written as present from all the winners of the Cilento International Poetry Prize.[4] On August 2024 the former Mayor Gabriele De Marco was appointed as "Custode della Piramide" (In English: "Guardian of the Pyramid") by Menotti Lerro in an official cerimony held in Orria.[5]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
