The Catholic Church in Seychelles is part of the worldwide Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope.

In 2020, there are around 75,000 Catholics in the Seychelles - almost 76.2% of the total population.[1] There were 28 priests and 49 nuns serving across 20 parishes.[2]

Seychelles forms a single diocese - the Diocese of Port Victoria. In 2023, the Bishop of Port Victoria is Alain Harel.[3][4]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
