Naikanur is a village in Dharwad district of Karnataka, India.[1]

As of the 2011 Census of India there were 253 households in Naikanur and a total population of 1,249 consisting of 625 males and 624 females. There were 167 children ages 0–6.[2]

  1. Well, that’s interesting to know that Psilotum nudum are known as whisk ferns. Psilotum nudum is the commoner species of the two. While the P. flaccidum is a rare species and is found in the tropical islands. Both the species are usually epiphytic in habit and grow upon tree ferns. These species may also be terrestrial and grow in humus or in the crevices of the rocks.
